What is Pure Mushroom Extract?
Pure Mushroom Extract is the epitome of botanical extraction for industrial use, targeted at applications where quality and molecular integrity are of the utmost importance. These high-quality extracts are sourced solely from the fruiting bodies (mature mushrooms) of the fungi, providing a dense matrix of key nutrients and components such as 1,3/1,6 beta-glucans and species-specific secondary metabolites. Through industrial processing technologies such as temperature-sensitive aqueous extraction, multiple ultra-purification steps, and drying, the raw fungi are refined into a highly concentrated, powdered product with a fine particle size for superior bioavailability. This advanced processing eliminates unnecessary structural components such as chitin, creating a purer, more soluble ingredient, ensuring consistent efficacy in formulations. This product provides a consistent, allergen-free, non-GMO raw material for enterprise customers in the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, and functional food industries that complies with global regulatory standards. Its high stability and neutral taste and odour profile make it an essential ingredient for companies seeking to take advantage of the "clean label" trend, providing a clean and powerful botanical platform for next-generation nutraceuticals and functional foods for immune support, metabolic health, and overall vitality.

Features
Mushroom Extract combines an array of physicochemical and technical characteristics in a uniquely valuable way for formulators and manufacturers. It has a high content of water-soluble polysaccharides (high-molecular-weight beta-glucans) and ethanol-soluble compounds such as triterpenoids and ergosterols that are released using controlled dual-extraction processes to yield a broad spectrum of phytochemicals. These phytochemicals are quantified to provide exact percentages and the chemical stability needed for consistent interaction with other matrix ingredients. The extract is carefully milled into a superfine, controlled hygroscopic powder with a narrow particle size distribution (greater than 80-100 mesh) to achieve the desired dispersibility and solubility in water. In terms of rheology, it has a low viscosity, avoiding thickening or precipitation in liquid products, such as functional beverages, tinctures, and so on. Moreover, the extract is highly heat stable, withstanding the thermal processing conditions during industrial processing, such as pasteurization, spray-drying, or extrusion.
How to Store Properly?
1. Atmospheric Moisture Control:
With high polysaccharide content, the extracts are also hygroscopic. Humidity levels (RH) of storage rooms need to be controlled at around 60% or less to avoid "caking". After breaking the original industrial seal for sampling, the liner should be re-clamped or vacuum-sealed to prevent the moisture in the atmosphere.
2. Thermal Regulation:
The temperature in the storage area should be maintained in a "cool and dry" condition, preferably at room temperature (15°C-25°C). It should not be stored near industrial heat sources, steam pipes, or in places with temperature variations, as high temperatures can accelerate the loss of sensitive secondary metabolites and the flowability of powder.
3. Photostability Protection:
Some secondary metabolites (e.g., triterpenes) may be vulnerable to UV light. While our packaging includes a light barrier, drums and cartons should be stored in dark or low light warehouses, out of direct sunlight or strong industrial lighting, to avoid potential oxidation and development of off-colours.
4. Off-Ground Palletization:
All drums and cartons should be stacked on pallets instead of the ground. This allows good ventilation of the product and avoids "cold bridge" condensation, which may occur when the packaging is in direct contact with concrete, and could damage the internal moisture barrier.
5. Aromatic Isolation:
To maintain the neutral taste and flavor of the Bulk Mushroom Extract, it should be kept away from volatile chemicals, industrial chemicals, or strong-smelling botanicals. This will avoid contamination and confounding smells that may impact the flavoring of the final product.
6. Inventory Rotation (FEFO):
An effective "First Expired, First Out" (FEFO) system is essential. While the product's shelf life is stable as a result of our spray-drying process, rotation ensures that manufacturers are using the freshest batches possible for their formulations, thus ensuring the potent standardized compounds' full potential.

Recommended Usage
In solid formulations (capsules and tablets), the Pure Mushroom Extract's small particle size requires the use of high-quality flow agents and binders to facilitate uniform filling of the die and offset its hygroscopic nature; for tablets in particular, direct compression is usually possible, but wet granulation may be preferred if using it with fibrous botanicals to ensure optimal tablet hardness and disintegration. For liquid products and functional beverages or tonics, the extract should be added to the water phase under high shear mixing or gentle agitation at 40°C to 60°C for thorough molecular dispersion, to avoid a cloudy appearance. Thanks to its excellent thermal stability, it can be added before flash pasteurization or UHT processing, without affecting the level of standardized polysaccharides. And in powder formulations or meal replacements, using ribbon blenders or V-mixers will ensure uniform mixing, especially when masking the mild earthy organoleptic characteristics of the fungi with natural sweeteners or acidity regulators. Through batch-wise adjustment of the incorporation levels according to the dry weight concentration of active ingredients, formulators can ensure batch-to-batch consistency in various industrial product formulations.
