1. As sweeteners, pharmaceutical excipients and flavoring agents
In Brazil and Paraguay, stevia has been used as a sweet drink by the local population since the 16th century. In Japan, since 1980, stevioside powder has been used in almost all food industries, and the annual consumption of stevia extract is 600-700 tons.
